Community Engagement

The Company strives to contribute towards Equitable Development through various partnering organisations and NGOs already active in the field. We are focusing on social development programmes and inclusive growth. We are primarily involved in the fields of healthcare, child welfare and education. Some of our key programs towards equitable development are listed below

Child Welfare

We strongly believe that children are a nation’s assets and the nation’s future depends upon them. Hence, we have chosen child welfare as a key element of our corporate social responsibility strategy and have partnered with St. Jude India Childcare Centre, an NGO that works to save lives of children suffering from chronic illnesses such as Cancer. We have contributed Rs. 1.2 Mn in FY 2021-22 to St. Jude India Childcare Centre.

Health

A health society contributes to the productivity of the businesses and the Nation. Hence, we have partnered with Ekam foundation for providing medical aid to less privileged children in need of life saving medical interventions; in this regard, we have contributed Rs.2.0 Mn in FY 2021-22.

Our initiatives are currently driven through our NGO partner organisations such as St Jude India Childcare Centre, Ekam Foundation and IIM Visakhapatnam Foundation.

MTAR believes that corporate social responsibility is an integral part of the organisation and gives utmost importance to protecting the interests of all the stakeholders

Business Practices: We are involved in fair and ethical business practices and emphasise on upholding our integrity while expanding our  business potential

Development of Employees: Nurturing the talent has always been a prime focus for MTAR. We impart regular trainings to our employees at all levels, there promoting the knowledge transfer and contributing to the personal development of the employees

Environment

MTAR believes in providing a safe and sustainable environment to future generations and has placed special emphasis on green product portfolio. Our involvement in the Clean Energy Supply Chain is a small contribution towards this. By supplying power units to fuel cells of Bloom Energy, which consumes methane that emits 60% less carbon compared to LPG, the company is indirectly helping reduce carbon emissions. In addition, we are involved in manufacturing hydrogen boxes and prototypes for electrolyzers that do not emit carbon. We are looking to cater to other global clean energy manufacturers leading to business sustainability

Creating Value to Stakeholders

We create value to suppliers, customers and shareholders through our safe business practices. We deliver the critical components and assemblies with superior quality on-time, thereby creating value to our customers. We closely work with our vendors to help them meet the quality standards by following prescribed set of processes, which create a huge value to our suppliers. The revenue and high margins generated by indulging in safe business practices are translated as a value to the shareholders
